Agapanthus Umbellatum Blue produces beautiful large deep blue flower heads. We like to grow our agapanthus in pots but they are just a suitable for a border and when planted be left in the ground and given a covering of mulch during winter.

Agapanthus 'Umbellatum' Planting Instructions
Plant your agapanthus into moist fertile soil in full sun or partial shade straight away on arrival. Will work well in either pots or in the ground as long as the soil is well drained. Pots have the advantage of being easily moved into a sheltered spot during the winter.
